My Robot Basenji Battles Darkness in this destructive fight. Unfortunately- my bot doesn't hold up so well! These shows aired on TNN summer 2002. Filmed in London England for the US market only.

To be honest, if you pit Foley against any robot, Foley would still win.
ArcaneAzmadi
You know, much as I love Jonathan Pearce, Stefan Frank was honestly much quicker to notice details of events happening in the arena, like Basenji's wheel getting knocked crooked here. Jonathan would often take several seconds, or even several minutes to notice details like that.
WilliamAhlert
can someone find Nerd³ in this? it'd be interesting.

thx for the vid
IndianaJoel93
@comeonshaymen I mean our best ones, Razer, Hypno Disc, Chaos 2, Tornado, Terrorhurtz, Dominator 2, Storm 2, Typhoon 2, S3, Firestorm, Panic Attack ect ect
comeonshaymen
@IndianaJoel93 You sure? I could easily see Cobra, Dr Fist and Brutus Maximus losing to any US bot
Matthew Broadley
@TheBeyBladeFan10 Nope.
X Veris
Wasn't there a Robot Wars UK, as well? Cause I remember there being a Panic Attack 3 in a Robot Wars...
cdname47
Matilda has her Chainsaw back on in this battle...I wonder why they did that?
IndianaJoel93
These American robots are terrible, they wouldnt last 2 seconds against our English robots or some of the American Battlebots ones.
MTCoblivsicas12345
the UK would wipe the floor with any US robot
sparkyfunny76
The American version was filmed in London?!
IndianaJoel93
the american version is gay lol
darollercoasterfan97
@JJCtheBeast its ur mom jk jk jk jk jk jk

I' not saying the robot sucked. I was making a point at the other guy who said any of the American robots could beat all of te UK bots by itself. I was making the point that the wheels fell off. And I don't remember Pussycats wheel falling off but shall now look for it. Either way i suffices to say that to counter an OTT comment you need an OTT comment of your own!
kartkidchun
I wouldn't be so sure. Chaos 2 is mighty. Razor is deadly when it works. Hynodisc will mince ya. Cassius is the original flip bot. Mighty entertainment. Tornado is seriously powerful. Mortis could do some damage too. Panic Attack has one of the best drivers around. What I'm saying is just because you're American doesn't mean you should underestimate the world! You should have learnt that lesson by now. The robots wheels fell off by themselves in this video!
kartkidchun
I know. Razor's powerful and did win the in US but I don't think it ever won in the UK series. I did like it when it's weapon came in, shred and mutilate, that's the way forward. Having said that I also rate: Mortis, Hypnodisc, Chaos 2, Cassius, Firestorm, Panic Attack. I know they go on about Razor but those others there are pretty powerful bots too.
kartkidchun
Mick Foley? Bang bang have a nice war!
kartkidchun
Well there is Chaos 2 as well. That's one powerful robot to.
Matthew Broadley
ROBOT WARS STARTED IN AMERICA!
Desmond Scala
No shit, he's been wrestling for 20 years
Resetti's Robot Wars Replicas
Do some research, ok? The original concept of Robot Wars was created by Marc Thorpe, and American, and has been going on in America since 1994; the first UK series didn't come out till 1997, when Mentorn struck a dealt with Profile Records to beging making a British version
IRejectSociety
why do the americans have to steal everything we brits do?
Chuck Finlay
ahhh I see. awesome. provided he used the same powerful motor to work the blade
Chuck Finlay
Ultraviolence was a killer bot operated by the same guys behind Manta he should have entered in this competition. does Robot wars still run? i wouldn't know, i don't get this channel
RAIN
yes but a extreme Warriors he's in it
wysterio Slothex
Well yeh, Biohazard, mauler, Drizzila, Razer, panicattack, bigger brother have all entered batle bots and lost
ochayedonald
I beg to differ. These robots have wheels that fall off. Of their own accord. And weapons that fall off. However, the battlebots competitors would give the UK robot wars competitors more than arun for their money
Jacob92W
well i did, compared to the UK version this is horrible!
Michael Cort
these robots would beat any english robot even if they worked toghether
Linda Vielie
Darkness returns from the dead to fight Basenji.

Mick Foley was the host. The show was on the defunct TNN (now SPIKE) back in 2002, shown only in the USA. The shows were repeated many times in 2002, but then they were taken off and haven't been seen since. Robot Wars is no longer produced by the BBC so unfortunately there isn't any chance this will be coming back!
Dan Fennessey
Mick foley presented Robot Wars US!?
Vis

Marc
robot wars isnt nerdy, its the fact that most american cant built a good robot.

The Battlebots events were held in San Francisco from 2000-2002. These fights were shown on the US cable channel Comedy Central. The Robot Wars Extreme Warriors series was filmed in London with US Robots and shown on US television only. 2000-2002 was the peak time for Robot Combat- three shows on TV all at once: Battlebots, Robot Wars and Robotica. Unfortunately there hasn't been any Robot Combat on TV for almost 5 years.

This series was filmed in London January 2002. It was made for a US audience only. They invited ~20 teams from the US to participate. The shows aired summer of 2002 on the now defunct TNN cable channel.
